Roofing Crew Member
Monday – Friday with Occasional Saturdays Mandatory
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Transport and load/unload roofing materials in the truck
- Set up scaffolding to provide safe access to roofs
- Ability to read, understand and interpret work orders to determine the scope of work
- Measuring and cutting materials to ensure they fit securely around vents, gutters, chimneys, and walls.
- Lay new roofing system and materials such as asphalt, wood, steel, and plastics.
- Clean rooftops by removing leaves and all other debris
- Escalating anything outside of the work scope to your immediate supervisor before moving forward with installation
- Use of hand tools such as hammers, nail guns, electric staplers, etc.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Illinois state driver’s license
- Reliable transportation
- Must be eligible to work in the US
- 1-2 Years related work experience but willing to train the right candidate
- Working knowledge of different roofing systems
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
- Skills with power and hand tools
- A keen eye for detail
- Solid customer service skills
- Reliable and self-motivated
- Comfortable working on ladders and roofs
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Steel toe boots
